“Our joy from his martyrdom supporting the truth is greater”
About the martyrdom of Al Husain bin ‘Ali RadiyAllahu anhu (and ‘alayhis salam) on this day of ‘Aashooraa, his grandson Shaikh Habib ‘Ali Al Jifri hafidhahUllah, was asked:
“Isn’t it more befitting for you to grieve over Al Imam Al Husain on this day?”
To which he responded:
“Al Husain is our father, and our joy from his martyrdom supporting the truth is greater than our tremendous grief over his lofty station being brazenly violated.”
