The novices of 5 countries have gathered together to form Zawiyah. Where does it come from, what does it mean?
Zâwiyah in Arabic literally means, ‘corner’. It is not however, an ordinary corner, it is a corner for the remembrance of Allâh ﷻ. There is a Zâwiyah that exists in the Masjid of the Prophet ﷺ – Riyâdh ul Jannah – and our hearts also contain a Zâwiyah, where we absorb the Noor of Allâh, and where we remember His lofty being. A Zâwiyah is a place where you flock to, and reconnect yourself with the Almighty Lord. It is a Majlis, a gathering for seekers, seekers of Allâh, seekers of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, seekers of knowledge and seekers of spiritual gnosis.
If you wish to seek, if you wish to learn, if you simply wish to know Allâh. Do not be afraid, for the centre of learning is with you – right where you want to be – gather for dhikr wherever you are, let it be now and let it be here.
